My second time visiting and I have come back certain that this will not be the last.
What a gorgeous city.
All you need is 1-2 days to see the touristic spots and if you wanted to stay longer, there’s no need to worry about the costs; there is affordable fresh food for all different tastes, a varied choice of accommodation options AND it hosts the cleanest and most tourist-friendly transport system in Europe. If you’ve been thinking of visiting, stop the thinking and just go!

I think this is my favourite hotel to date. We stayed at Melia Barcelona Sky which hosts an amazing view of the city, spacious rooms and an amazing 5* lounge service where you can eat and drink (alcohol included) all day. It also has a spa and a rooftop pool.

After a long hike up to Park Guell, we found out tickets were sold out. With an hour to wait for the ‘free-entry hour’, we decided to just enjoy the views of the city from up there and leave the park visit for another time. I’ve been inside before so I wasn’t too fussed but I would definitely recommend it for first-timers.

Despite not being the most spoken about sights in Barcelona, the Arc de Triomf and Ciutadella Park is a must see in my opinion.
Think busking artists, soap bubbles, day drinking, all whilst being surrounded by architectural history from mid-19th century Barcelona.

This is probably one of my favourite Gaudi designs in Barcelona. You can actually buy tickets to go inside. At sunset, the views are beautiful (see here). I have this in my must do list for my next visit.

Last but not least, the iconic Sagrada Familia.
A little tip for Instagram fanatics: cross over to the other side of the park nearby and you’ll be able to capture yourself and the entire building in one shot.
And that’s all!
I hope you enjoyed this blog post and got inspired to visit the gorgeous Barcelona! I could not recommend it enough! For any questions please do not hesitate to comment below, email or direct message me on my instagram.
