Sightseeing in -7 degree weather does not seem appealing, but when you combine it with the option to relax at thermal baths or dine at a Michelin star restaurant which costs half of what you would pay back home (London), a winter city break to Budapest couldn’t be passed. The following images are of my 4 day trip to Budapest back in December 2018.

The 108 steps to get up here is so worth it; you get the best views of the city and the surrounding restaurants and coffee shops make it the perfect place to grab lunch and take scenic pictures.

Recommended places to eat/drink
- Azsu (great goulash)
- STIKA (good coffee and brunch spot)
- Bar 360
- Budapest airport is small but super busy so allow enough time to check-in luggage and collect luggage
- Avoid buying a lot of public transport tickets; we bought a 10 ticket pack and only used half as we stayed so central and ended up walking everywhere
