In this post I’ll share with you some moments I captured whilst exploring Venice – one of the most picturesque cities I’ve ever been to. If you don’t have time for a long holiday this summer Venice is the perfect city to go to, 3 days is all it took to see the attractions, the neighbouring islands and relax ….the most important part 😉
No sound of cars or police sirens – Venetian transport consists of water buses and taxis which you can enjoy views of from canal bridges.
You’re guaranteed to find narrow streets and designer stores. Venetian architecture makes you feel like you’re time traveling to a different era.
Most Hotels serve continental breakfast which I would highly recommend. A decent meal before exploring saves you buying more when out.
We stayed at Hotel Gabrieli near St Mark’s square which not only served an amazing breakfast buffet but also had a stunning terrace with a view – perfect for drinks at sunset and tanning.
The Gondola… by far my favourite part of the trip. Although pricey this is a must during your stay. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer gondolier who not only answered all our questions about the story of Venice but also gave us a little serenade (sounds cheesy but very special in the moment).
I would recommend going at sunset like we did, as the crowds quieten down and you truly get to sit back and relax.
Venice is by far the most romantic city I’ve been to, it even tops Paris in my opinion … do you agree?
Hope you enjoyed this read! Don’t forget to subscribe to be notified on my future posts. Next will be a Venice Vlog and my trip to the neighbouring Islands; Burano and Murano.
you look gorgeous! great post
